Staging and Restaging of Rectal Cancer

Associate Professor Benjamin Henninger, M.D. (Medical University of Innsbruck, Austria) shares his MRI protocols for staging and restaging of rectal cancer patients.
Pelvic anatomy can be imaged exquisitely with the high-resolution T1 VIBE sequence. Following the recommendations of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR), these protocols take under 15 minutes and are easily run in clinical routine with excellent image quality. Protocols have been developed for 1.5T MAGNETOM Avanto^fit using software version syngo MR E11.
