Fast imaging tools such as TWIST-VIBE and CAIPIRINHA have significantly improved on the traditional drawbacks of MRI for parathyroid imaging including limited spatial and temporal resolution. In patients with primary hyperparathyroidism, the described technique provides additional means to accurately identify and characterize parathyroid adenomas without the need for radiation.
